COMPUTER COPS ADVISORY

There are times when malicious users send out emails portraying to be Computer Cops staff. Please check your email headers to see if such email was routed from our server (bugsbunny.laudanski.com / computercops.biz). Here is a copy of an actual fraudulent email I just receieved a moment ago... Please note, the emails contains the Win32/Bagle.K worm. This means the person sending the email below may well be infected by it.

Our server email scanning software found that an attached document, Document.pif, was infected by the Win32/Bagle.K worm. Ensure your systems are updated and running anti-virus programs.

These emails are not generated by authorized Computer Cops staff! They come from imposters. This particular one was generated from philou (ca-metz-18-7.w80-8.abo.wanadoo.fr [80.8.181.7].

However, there is not an email account set up as [email protected]

Phrasing of mail is also a giveaway. So too is spelling.
