A friend of mine:
lucky I am not running XP microsoft will soon release service pack 1 for winxp... as you know, there are a few serial numbers floating around for winXP on the net that many of us used because we were too lazy to look at the sticker that came with our winXP cd...
the service pack will nuke you windowsXP if you have one of those special serial numbers on your system... you will get sporadic lockups and you will no longer be able to update your drivers.
as you know, many of the XP machines out there are set to automatically update themselves...
it is possible, once installed, to change your serial number to a different one using the regedit utility...
Obviously we don't condone illegal cracked copies of any software application. But if this is true and you own one, now might be the time to reconsider!
