Hello Davey,

Many Norton product problems are caused by not completely uninstalling a product before reinstalling it. You might consider checking to see that you followed Norton's detailed uninstallation procedure

I have had the MOST difficult time trying to uninstall Norton products everything i tried would not work. Once you install a Symantec product it is almost impossible to get rid of. They dig in like ironweed ( ask any gardener about this plant ) i tried everything on their site too to no avail. Don't want to scare you , but a reformatt (in some cases) may be nessary to get rid of Symantec once and for all. Good luck.

i had the same problem with common client core 1.0.2 live update not able to complete. i uninstalled system works and reinstalled. that is when i got the problem. here's how i got it sorted. i have norton firewall installed as well as system works. so i thought maybe if i uninstall the firewall and systemworks it would sort the problem. it did. you may have to install the common client update separately. just untick the ticks in the boxs, download, restart. please leave a message if this did the trick. Very Happy
