PLEASE HELP!!! I'll donate. :-)

My in-laws are paying me $15/hour to fix their computer, and I'll gladly donate half of that to the site if one of you can help me. I'm up to two fruitless hours, so far.

I'm having a couple of problems:

1. jksearch.biz. I've tried some of the suggestions in other topics here, but they haven't worked, and my efforts have been complicated by my second problem:

2. I have no access to My Docs or My Comp. Nothing happens when I try to open them. The computer freezes when I open the recycle bin or the control panel. I can open all of these fine, however, when in safe mode.

They're running Windows 98.

The new version of CWShredder should get rid of the jksearch hijack for you. Get it here:

Run it and click on the FIX button and let it do it's thing.

When done, please post a fresh HJT log.
