I haven't has the pleasure of children yet, but I get to spoil my sister's a lot Her baby girl is so adorable. Makes me want to have one of my own everytime I hold her.
That's quite a gap between your children, but then my Mom was insane, she had 3 with just 13 months between each of us!
Cheers to you and the family! |

Cheers to you too and it's been fun getting together.
Gotta go to bed now though, the young one will probably be up by 8 and wanting to go to the park by 9.
Talk to you again soon.
Cheers, |

This is a very uneven playing field, here's me been asleep all night and you guys and gals all here having a wing-ding of a party. it's so unfair.
And OldGuy wants to play my favorite music, where have I gone wrong.

When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now,
Will you still be sending me a Valentine, birthday greetings,
bottle of wine?
If I'd been out 'till quarter to three, would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
When I'm sixty-four?
I could be handy, mending a fuse, when your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside, sunday mornings, go for
a ride.
Doing the garden, digging the weeds, who could ask for more?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty
four?
Every summer we can rent a cottage in the Isle of Wightif it's
not to dear. We shall scrimp and save.
Ah, grandchildren on your knee, Vera, Chuck, and Dave.
Send me a postcard, drop me a line stating point of view.
Indicate precisely what you mean to say, yours sincerely wasting
away.
Give me your answer, fill in a form, mine forever more.
Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I'm sixty
four?

I beg your pardon I never promised you a rose garden
Along with the sunshine there's gotta be a little rain sometimes
When you take you got to give so live and let live or let go
I beg you pardon I never promised you a rose garden
I could promise you things like big diamond rings
But you don't find roses growin' on stalks of clover so you better think it over
When it's sweet talking you could make it come true
I would give you the world right now on a silver platter but what would it matter
So smile for a while and let's be jolly love shouldn't be so melancholy
Come along and share the good times while we can
I beg you pardon I never promised you a rose garden
Along with the sunshine there's gotta be a little rain sometimes
I beg you pardon I never promised you a rose garden
I could sing you a tune and promise you the moon
But if that's what it takes to hold you
I'd just as soon let you go but there's one thing I want you to know
You better look before you leap still waters run deep
And there won't always be someone there to pull you out
And you know what I'm talking about
So smile for a while...

When I was still in the pram, my Mum sang that song to me.
See women, never miss a trick.
And when your 64, tough.

Hey man I'll never be 64, that's like waaaaaaay oooooollllld
I was singing that to celebrate page 64 of our little novelette here and also because a certain young man is celebrating his birthday today (not 64th I hasten to add). I note he hasn't mentioned it so I won't 'out' him, I'm sure he'll be along later to buy us all a bevvy

I have only 10 years to go.

They might be open but I bet you have to move a little bit closer to the screen nowadays

That is very true. Also a good pair of specs.
To tell you the truth everything is starting to wear out.

Just for you then,
Line one is the time
That you, you first stayed over at mine
And we drank our first bottle of wine
And we cried
Line two we’re away
And we both, we both had nowhere to stay
Well the bus-shelter’s always ok
When you’re young
Now you’re older and I look at your face
Every wrinkle is so easy to place
And I only write them down just in case
That you die
Let’s take a look at these crows feet, just look
Sitting on the prettiest eyes
Sixty 25th of decembers
Fifty-nine 4th of julys
Not through the age or the failure, children
Not through the hate or despise
Take a good look at these crows feet
Sitting on the prettiest eyes
Line three I forget
But I think, I think it was our first ever bet
And the horse we backed was short of a leg
Never mind
Line four in a park
And the things, the things that people do in the dark
I could hear the faintest beat of your heart
Then we did
Now you’re older and I look at your face
Every wrinkle is so easy to place
And I only write them down just in case
You should die
Lets take a look at these crows feet, just look
Sitting on the prettiest eyes
Sixty 25th of decembers
Fifty-nine 4th of julys
You can’t have too many good times, children
You can’t have too many lines
Take a good look at these crows feet
Sitting on the prettiest eyes
Well my eyes look like a map of the town
And my teeth are either yellow or they’re brown
But you’ll never hear the crack of a frown
When you are here
You’ll never hear the crack
Of a frown
