Thank you, Fussen. I realized this had to be deviant when I ran through the uninstall process through the Control Panel and it started up again the next time I rebooted.

No idea if these work. Backups are good.

Before reading what CasProg was I decided to uninstall it in the add/remove way. Once I rebooted my computer a message appeared saying "CasProg Uninstalled" and then once I clicked okay all sorts of errors started popping up and now I can't even click on My Computer without it giving me an error. Strangely enough I can log on to AIM though and will be able to receive files... so is there a way I can fix this?

Thanks so much for the info in the Golden Palace stuff - it's been driving me crazy! I thought I was completely rid of it, after running Pest Patrol, Spybot, Adaware....... ARG! Then that same message popped up for me - the system32 box and the "successfully removed" message..... then I found this site - I sure hope it's gone! ! Great advice here - thanks again! !

Ref Casino Program. We just managed to delete it thanks to your info. One point to note is an internet banner 'blaze-find'. The casprog is maybe using blaze-find as a host to infect your regedit files. It took all afternoon to sort this problem. Hope you guys are successful.

thanks

Oh yes, Paul and Ian - I had the Blazefind problem too - and the startpage trojan........ SO maddening! My Google searches were full of "win a new car" , etc....... I do believe that I now have EVERYTHING gone...... I hope! Pest Patrol seemed to catch most of it . Thanks for all the help here!

Thanks Joanne. Only one problem. After using Ad-Aware to remove Casino it came back again today!! Tried removing from registry files manually and everything looked OK. Not so. Blaze Find has not returned. Hope you have more success than us with this one. Makers of Casino should be shot.

I called 1-888-217-5648 and got the following link: http://remove.monsterserve.com/remove/toolbar/index.html and followed the instructions to permanantly remove golden palace casino. it worked. but not sure whether I can remove uinst_cp.exe with out screwing up my system. Please suggest..

hi all, just an update on this thingy... Wink

I manually deleted the "uinst_cp.exe" file, but that did not fix it... so we went hunting again.

This is what I found:

start-run-"msconfig"-ok-start up tab-....
there it is... uncheck it yes, but then just to the right it shows where it lives!

You will find it as "brdg class" in "downloaded program files".

Right click it-properties-dependancies-

These are the two root files that seem to source it.

On the "general" info page it lists the following web address as the code base:

http://www2.flingstone.com/cab/2000XP/new/bridge.cab

so... good hunting y'all! Very Happy

C:\WINNT\system32\uninst_cp.exe
del C:\WINNT\system32\uninst_cp.exe
del C:\WINNT\system32\eznanqsy.exe
del C:\autoexecuted.bat

I have followed all the instructions given here to get rid of the casino garbage and am not sure yet how successful I have been. However, one thing I DO know - I can NOT get it out of my add/delete programs. When I click "remove", I get "the following file does not exist or is not a valid uninstallation log file.

Why can't I get it out of there?!?!?

The above message was posted by me. I wanted to say that I think I've gotten rid of it totally. Time will tell??? Anyway, thank you so much for the help, I'm grateful and so glad I found this sight. I registered, and look forward to looking around the site.

I wanted to ask another question - the poster who said that they found Golden Casino in their Windows system 32 file - they said that they found it because they do a scan of that file weekly. How do I do that? Thank you all for your help. Very Happy
