Hey TMOV.... I see you've been promoted to Major !!!! Congrats.... |
they must have been confused,
yesterday i got my butt chewed royally by staff for engaging in inappropriate behavior on the thread started by the lovely Claire,
she posted something re: sex related health and myself and another guy camped on it and started making fun of it and the next thing you know ,we got in trouble.
so now i have to behave like a field grade officer,
at this rate i may pass up COL. CLARKE WHO IS ON ACTIVE DUTY AND CDR. CLARKE who is on his submarine ,,, deep and quiet as he calls it.
They're junior to me anyway, I'M THE FIRST BORN AND THEY BETTER SAY "SIR " TO ME!!!

*lol* I must have missed that thread....
You bring up an interesting subject though, when you mentioned CDR Clarke. I've been wondering how many people on here are military.... besides you (retired but it still counts!), CDR Clarke, and myself.

i have no clue,
but if they're highly consciencious officers of the united states, by act of congress, you wont hear them out themselves.
not since 9-11 anyway.

*** VERY*** expensive dressing, indeed !!!!
Personally, I prefer a Merlot (maybe $10-$15 a bottle), or a glass of Killians Red ($4 for 32 oz at the local steak house).
High price doesn't always mean better.... unless of course, someone else is paying? *grin* |

??????? Can't think of a single reason why they can't post..... Oh, I know we have to watch what we say (which is why I've never actually listed what Base I'm on, my rank, or what my official assignment is), but there's no law that says we cannot chat about benign things..... at least, not that I'm aware of, and the men in black suits haven't visited me yet.

*lol*.... Enjoy the drink, TMOV.
I have to go buy some eggs and color them... and then slip a few dozen into my sister's yard without her finding out. Imagine her reaction tomorrow when the kiddies go Easter Egg hunting, and the count is more than expected..... *evil grin*

i have the recipe for the perfect hard boiled egg.
let me go to the joy of cooking where i paste in those things i find and i'll be right back
wait out.
ok.
here we go
perfect hard boiled eggs every time.
especially for those nice deviled eggs that you like to have for a nice presentation and no flat or irregularities on the whites, nice smooth and not over done and rubbery.
gently rinse the eggs in warm water, not too warm,
drain,
cover eggs in a large pan with cold water.
add salt ,
and acidulate the water so that the bubble will escape through the porous shell.( oops, use white vinegar for that.)
that way all of the white will fill the cavity of the egg shell.
place over medium high heat,
bring to a boil,
reduce to a simmer and cook for exactly thirteen minutes.
arrest with cold water .
cooking too long will discolor the yolks, make them green on the perifery.
yellow, particularly good for deviled eggs great eye appeal.
from a recipe in the medford mail tribune probably circa 1995/96

forget the men in the black suits.
you'll never know if you've met them.
didn't you get your briefing on them?
once they returned the galaxy from orions belt , they were given strick orders to flash that flashy thingy at all whom they have met.
that's why everyone is totally unaware of their activities.
i have an advantage though, you see it only works on people that have never died,
with me it's a different story, you see , i was up on the ceiling looking down and i saw the back side of a light fixture and all these people standing around someone on an O.R. TABLE AND I KNEW instinctively that that was my body on that O.R. table even though i could not see the face because it had a green cloth stretched across it like the ones that the dentist uses , and the dr. was yelling ,,dont you do this to me MR.Clarke.
the next thing i remember is waking up in the surgical intensive care at the va med ctr in palo alto next to a window and the sun was coming up over the golf course and it was the next morning.
and i was chewing out some kid that was fishing around under my clavicle
with a needle trying to find the subclavian artery so he could get a mineral line started, asking him why he didn't take a look at the cat scan first.and he did and then he said "oh, there it is".
then the doc came in and said she was moving me to the floor and off they went with me to MB-1A.
first person to occupy the bed in that new modular building.
never told her about what happened and she never volunteered anything to me either except to tell me that she had gotten it all and that it had not metastasized.
bet you didn't expect to hear all that.
any way the flashy thingy doesn't work on me.
i retain all memories.
