TMOV... it sounds to me like I'd be honored to buy you a beer for real, one day.... |
ever heard of those intangible, inadmissible in court intuitive gifts?
they've been around since i was about 8 years old down there in panama and since that part that made me not suceptible to flashy thingy,
they have been amplified.
never told anyone that part before.
the colonel called me one night , i was in santa clara california.
i made my roommate leave the darn phone alone 'cause i told him it was my brother eddy,he said go for it.
i hadn't heard from eddy in a long time.
i had sent him a care package to relieve the deprivation, of him and bobby neal, who were down there teaching the salvadoreans how to gather intel i answered the phone and said eddy!!!
and that just blew him away.
i lived on don ave in santa clara ca. ,long before the invention of call identifier.
that was1984.

??????? Can't think of a single reason why they can't post..... Oh, I know we have to watch what we say (which is why I've never actually listed what Base I'm on, my rank, or what my official assignment is), but there's no law that says we cannot chat about benign things..... at least, not that I'm aware of, and the men in black suits haven't visited me yet.

Hey, that's why I said there's nothing wrong with chatting, but we do need to watch what we write.
Isn't the golden rule "Never write something you would be afraid of having plastereed all over the Planet?"
Worst case... someone uses the IP address to spam and it gets blocked by SpamCop. IPs can be rotated with a simple phone call. |

Isn't Sutter Home a California wine? I have to admit their Merlot is ok.... not quite as dry as I prefer, but still very acceptable. SH also makes a good White Zin. Can't tell you about the white wines.... haven't tried one in years --- ever since a supposed friend suggested "Eye of the Swan", and I poured it down the drain. *lol*

What is it the Enlisted often say? "Don't call me Sir.... I work for a living"? Or something to that effect.....
I have a little speech I give to new officers. The condensed version would be "the enlisted troops are the backbone of the military. Respect them. Put your trust in them. Treat them with the same consideration you expect for yourself, and you'll become a respected and valuable asset. Ignore this, and you'll be elsewhere."

*lol* I've always thought Air Force was the ideal job..... more like a normal routine than military. Hey, we fly in, make some noise, fly out, and are home in time for dinner. (Come to think of it, no wonder the other Branches give us such a hard time...)
Now as for FINDING me.... true enough. If a terrorist wanted to, they could find just about anyone they wanted to track down. Heck, I've made it EASY... my website is listed, and a simple "Who Is" search gives all the info a person could want. So I'm not worried about an IP addy being tracked down... heck, maybe one of them would see the beautiful canines I rescue, and want to adopt one. *lol*

Border Collies... wonderful dogs! Your girl looks like a real keeper, TMOV..... If I ever were to work with another Breed, it would have to be Border Collies. Their intelligence is amazing.
