I emailed Kye-U and asked, but he said he doesn't know. It probably takes a while for a website like www.dumb-geek.com to move because it has sooooo much stuff on it. And I know a lot of ISPs just take forever to move.

Shea;
Well, it's not the ISP, it's as you said - the amount of data to move from one host to another. That's all the responsibility of the domain holder, not the ISP or either of the hosts.
All that has to happen is for the domain holder to go into his/her records at the Registrar where he bought the name, and set the Address record to the appropriate IP. They say that it can take up to 48 hours to propagate the new address to all the domain name servers across the entire 'Net, but it's usually much quicker than that.
While I would be remiss to talk about things of which I know nothing, I did see from the Whois database, that KmrDrow is only part of a larger organization that holds a goodly number of websites. I'm betting that finding a large enough home for them, at a reasonable price, is probably not easy.
Other options for Kye-U abound, but we gotta remember, so far he's pulled this off without any monthly fees for a host. I'm sure he wants to continue in that vein, if at all possible. For that reason, he's probably sticking with KmrDrow instead of going back to flaky freebie hosting providers that have ads, etc.
I guess we hang tight, and hope for the best.

I hold great trust and respect for KmrDrow; he's like a brother to me. |

Shea, its a 32bit Linux clone built on 64 yr old monolithic technology that refuses to adhere to high-availability dogma so proudly exulted by the high priests who embark on journeys called The Odyssey. |

mozerd;
Hey, let's watch it with that misspelling of my name, please!
All;
It appears to me that KmrDrow is being targeted by somebody who really, really doesn't like him. The record is now standing at less than a week, and the perpetrators find him, and DDoS him to virtual death again. That's not funny, any way you look at it.
Our problem is convincing Kye-U that KmrDrow can't support him, nor by extension, can he support us. Not until he can nuke the bastard who's taking potshots at him, and that's just about the hardest thing to do on the innarnet.
Kye-U;
I know that this isn't a good time for you, it being the end of school year and all that, and I'm willing to wait another few weeks, but pretty soon, something's gonna have to happen, one way or the other. Obviously, we'd all like to see your forum return to the 'Net; using CC.BIZ is OK for some things, but it isn't the real meal deal, you know what I mean? Please, let us help, OK?
Happy words, and all that jizz-jazz.
Oddysey
p.s. BTW, FWIW, if anyone has comments, questions or suggestions that you wish to keep private, you can email me at |

Kye-U, suggest to KmrDrow that he set the sites IP address to 127.0.0.1 so that way the bastards will be attacking themselves. That might hold them off for a while if you leave it like that for a while. The person might be a 'hacker' and could be using some zombie machines to help him/her. Last suggestion, couldn't he look at the logs and find his/her IP and report him and ban his/her IP from the site.
Also, if you just want to get it up for a while (I've suggested this alot but) IllusionFX is free gives you 250 megs and supports PHP.

mozerd;
As per Kye-U's link above, I've posted on cheatandwin/proxo yet another file for you to check out. If it does the job for you, we'd all like to hear that. If not, then I'm sure we'll hear that too!
If for some reason you can't get there, you can reach me at . This time I kept copies of the HTML and js files, as well as my message to you!
But here's hoping cheatandwin/proxo stays up!!

Can certainly agree to that...
Unless you're like me and filter out EVERYTHING but the Proxo content...
The CC logo? Axed...
The navigation pane? Axed...
The HUGE menu on the left? Axed...
All topics outside of Proxo? Axed...
Powered by mumbo-jumbo? Axed...
Copyright info? Axed...
The love of Proxo - web sites MY way...
disclaimer to site admin - no offense to the axed content... basically, the only reason I visit is for Proxo... But that's just me... I catch the 'other stuff' once in a while (my filters are bypassed by holding down the 'Shift' key), but my daily CC read is Proxo...
