|
|
I've just discovered a new startup list program that intergrates Paul Collin's Startup List with an application to search on one's machine. This would be a good program to add in with Spybot and Ad-Aware as a place to start with clean-up. It is produced by a William Yang and you can get the freeware here.
There is also an online search function much like Paul's and very effective in my view. The data base does come from Paul 'Pacman' Collins. |

Just downloaded, installed and tried it. It did correctly identify my startup entries. The online check is pretty neat. All it basically does is give a brief explanation of what each entry does. There is also a ranking system 1-4 that is used to rate the necessity of any given startup entry.
Basically this program gives the user access to Pacman's list (on the fly) with the added feature of being able to delete startup entries on the spot. It appears that you can delete obsolete entries from the Reg. also. I do not have any problems to be able to fully test this product, but it seems pretty user friendly.
I say it's a keeper!!

Wow, what a nifty little program. It helped me identify several questionable programs and clean up my systray of some things I've been letting accumulate. Well worth it for me. Recommended for all.

I just love this program. I do allot of installing and uninstalling and it is so much easier to clear junk with this program than having to go into msconfig. Don't get that annoying little message from Bill about changing his precious startup either
