Can it be done ?

I am currently searching for a PHP script to build a website reviewing holiday destinations. I have searched high and low for something that will do the job and I think PHP Nuke may be the answer ! but none of the modules seem have the functions I need Sad

and I dont know if they can be altered to suit...
I need to catargorise the destinations, resorts, hotels, bars etc and allow guests + registered users to submit feedback and rate the facilities with a star system or similar. Does anyone know if there is a module out there that will do this, I have searched to no availe and I am starting to think I will not be able to build the the site. Sad

Each article can be rated (using the star system and also the reader can leave comments, feedback)

You would be able to use that module to categorize the destinations, resorts, hotels, bars etc and allow guests + registered users to submit feedback and rate the facilities.

This would be one way to solve your challenge. Your topic names could be set to destinations, resorts, hotels, bars etc and then you could then categorize each topic further to represent the different areas? (just an idea)

I feel that would be an easy solution and gives you so many options with the rest of the site as well

Thanks for your reply Blast. Im still having problems with the topics module though, cant seem to get a 'submit comment' showing at the bottom of a topic and Im having problems sorting the topics into categories. Obviously not configuring it properly, but i'll keep trying. It may be that I will have to have a script wrote for this project to be able to complete it.
