|
|
Well, to be honest, I don't know if this is really a feature designed with security in mind or not. I only know that I don't like it, and I'm having a fit trying to find a workaround. Hopefully someone can lend me a little help.
I recently started a new phpnuke site... http://www.techsplained.com and the last couple of days I have been redesigning my interface. It's still not quite what I want, I hope to host an interace design contest and give the winner an ATI AIW 9800 Pro soon. Anyway, all of this is meaningless. Here is my dilemma. I can't for the life of me figure out how to put multiple urls inside of a submitted story.
I did a lot of price shopping so that I could start a new Price Watch section. Now when I post the story, I copy my html into the extended text area and it breaks. The only way it lets me add the story ifs if I only use one url. Therefore I could really only provide a link to the first product on my PriceWatch?
Does anybody know why this is so? Is it a security issue? Is there a way around it?
Thanks in advance,
Sincerely NukeNewbieJollyWood |

Ok... update... I've found that it isn't that I can't add multiple links or urls, it is that I can't add certain URLs. As strange as it may seem, when I link directly to products on mwave.com I am able to correctly preview and post the article/pricewatch. BUT when I like directly to a product on newegg.com and I try to preview or post the story I am transferred back to the main page... index.php and there is no sign that the article has been added anywhere.
I find this behavior quite strange. It also looks as though now (I don't recall this happening before) but when I add the html for a link it is appending the address onto that of my own page. In other words every link I add now winds up being directed to http://www.techsplained.com/ANDTHENWHATEVERIHADINTENDED... for example If I wanted to link to...
http://www.google.com it used to work fine, but for some reason now I would wind up linking to...
http://www.techsplained.com/http://www.google.com
This seems to be getting crazier and crazier. Is there anyone out there who can provide some assistance? |
