I am using the musicmatch juke box version 8.2. After I record a song,I see this error.
The error is

Microsoft Visual c++ Runtime Library
Runtime error!
Program: c:\progrram files\musicmatch jukebox\mmjb.exe
Abnormal Program Termination.

What should I do? please help.I couldn't find the solution of this problem in musicmatch's official sites forums.

hello
what o/s are you using? is your system free of spyware? viruses been defraged lately? try shutting off unneeded programs from running mmjb uses lots of cpu cycles.
you can always uninstall it and remove its folder from programs after uninstalling than with all unneeded programs shut off(ctrl,alt,delete shut off every thing but explorer and system tray) than reinstall.
i still have the 8.2 bata release running. so i use it daily.

I'm also having the same problem with the "MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY" "RUNTIME ERROR" "ABNORMAL TERMINATION" Spybot and Adaware got all the cookies they could find. Norton updated found no viruses. I thought that Runtime had something to do with Java, so I uninstalled that. No strange things for startup, no strange things running in the background. I just installed XP Pro in February. P4 2.8GHZ with 1.5 GHZ of DDR RAM. I'm PULLING OUT MY HAIRS???

All you need to do is (1) Uninstall Musicmatch 8.2 (2) Open windows explorer then search for the Musicmatch folder (usually in Program Files folder) and DELETE the enitre folder (don't worry about it saying it may affect the operation of other programs)(DO NOT RESTART YOU CPU AT THIS POINT) (3) Download and reinstall Musicmatch 8.2 Basic (NOW RESTART YOUR CPU) And there you go, problem solved. If you had Musicmatch 8.2 Plus just go to HELP > REGISTRATION > RETRIEVE LOST KEY in Musicmatch and you'll receive your key via e-mail. I know this process works because I just did it a few minutes ago.
