| Hi, I use F-prot, and I run windows xp pentium 3. Today, I noticed that my antivirus showed I had nearly 68,000 files to scan, but normally, it only reads somwhere in the 40,000s. Can anybody help? |

HI blubby
How often do you delete your temp and temporary internet files and cookies? These can account for a lot of those additional files if you spend a lot of time online.

| I always do. I go to start control panel, internet settings, delete files, cookies, and history. |

I don't know what you mean.
Is there are 68,000 files in your PC,but the antiVirus only scan 40,000?
Or the fist time The AntiVirus scans 68,000, but the second time scans 40,000?

How can you sure is make by Virus?
1 Reboot
2 connect to the net
3 hit "netstat -n" in mode
if it still here, it is not common. And you may find something wrong in your list of the program which start with the system.
