|
|
hi all,
hope some1 can advise..
i format my machine on a regular basis and each time i
install norton av 2002 i get the same result...
It works very very well and i would recommend it to anybody.
However the same problem also occur's each time..
When i boot up with xp pro i get to logon screen and then i logon to
desktop without problem....
but then nav 2002 takes another 30-40 seconds to clear the red cross
on it.
Once the red cross disappears i here it scan the floppy drive as expected
and only once procedure is complete can i actually activate internet
connections.
Any advice on this subject to resolve this issue would be very much
appreciated. It may just be something i have to live with but as long as i
know that this is the case then i will accept it as the product is that good
in other respects.
what i have done in trying to resolve the issue....
clean uninstall and reinstall of nav and components
full error check on physical disc
full defragging of disk
nav is always up to date
...............................................
Is there any way other than bootvis to display the time and order that
processes
run at during boot up as this information would allow me to see what
process file is causing the delay.
I have tried running bootup in verbose mode by modifying the registry
but this only displays on the logon screen....my problem
occurs after that.
many thanks again for any assistance
