Here's why.
Quote: |
Concern about possible activities of senior al-Qaida operatives thought to be in Iran was a factor in raising the domestic terror alert level in the United States, officials say. Other factors, the officials said Wednesday, included a surge in threatening communications and the recent attacks in Morocco and Saudi Arabia, officials said. The Homeland Security Department's orange alert issued Tuesday suggests a high threat of terrorist attacks, and authorities extended security measures around the country. The FBI said Wednesday that the bombings in Saudi Arabia and Morocco could be a "possible prelude" to a terrorist attack in the United States and that attacks are "likely" against U.S. and Western interests abroad. |
Discussion Question: If we find out 100% that Iran is sheltering terrorists, what do we do?

Then the question is, what does the world do?

So True Skip...
It is a very god question that Jamming poses, and a god point that Paul makes. Unfortunatley I don't believe the rest of the World or the U.N. are willing to take as proactive a stance as America has of late...In fact I don't even know how many Americans would continue to support a Proactive stance.

Not would it only affect the families who must say goodbye yet again to those in the military, but again it would have a negative impact on the global economy. I do have my personal reservations.

One problem with fellow Americans is they do loose their stance. Why?
They forget why they took one to soon in the first place. But being a Veteran and having generations of military history behind me too. I shall not forget. To me vigilance is survival. |

I don't think its an issue of being forgetful, I think there is some consideration from those folks who have been unemployed since then and have starving families. Whilst we seek out and destroy terrorism, the homeland needs to also take care of its starving citizens.

Myself also Skip...too many years walking the line to forget. In fact I found out yesterday that the unit I was with in the first Gulf Campaign is deployed there again.
And you make a good point as well Paul. We must have balance but again we should never forget... |
