|
|
Ok, Im begining to get a bit worried. I know that the whole point of having a website is to get as many hits as possible but what I'm seeing on my site at the moment is very worrying.
I normally average 400 meg bandwidth a month across a few websites. So far for the month of may I have used over 1.2gig bandwidth on my Funportal site aloan.
This is a link to MS Analysis (I run on PHPNuke 7.1) and shows you just what an incredible jump I've had in the last week:
http://funportal.beanwebb.com/modules.p...=3&sortby=
I am currently averaging 10k hits a day. With the worst being May 5th where I saw something like 1300 hits in an hour.
The thing that worries me the most is there doesnt seem to be much in the way of visitor movement. I know new registrarions have been down for the past month which is why there are no new registrations, but looking at the amount of views on new articles, and forum posts, there has to be something wrong.
The other thing I have noticed is according to the protector system, I have nearly always got a google bot on my site, at times it goes up to 8 or 10 showing up in the online users list, as I write this post there are 3:
crawler4.googlebot.com
crawler8.googlebot.com
crawler2.googlebot.com
Is this anything I should be really worries about or not. If it carries on at this rate I'll have nearly used all my badnwidth by the end of the month and if carries on increasing, I could have a few problems. |
