|

Spywareinfo recently suffered a similar spate of DDoS attacks. They are back up and running, and are supporting us. Perhaps you'd care to stop by and say thank you.
Remember one thing; we are all in this together, no matter where we fight this from.

Hi, I normally post at Spywareinfo, but I do come here occasionaly and I have to say it's a great site. It's really sad that people out there are doing these things- you'd think they would have the time to something else more productive. Hopefully you guys will hold out. No, I'm quite positive this will work out fine. The scum have FAILED each time to stop the people who provide support against malware. This time will be no diffrent. |

This DDoS episode sure personalizes a glaring Internet deficiency as it currently architected. Any weasel who can trojan into a collection of on-line computers can orchestrate a DDoS attack without fear of being IDed. Such weasels can disrupt people's lives with impunity under the cloak of anonymity.
The way that the hosting provider is reacting to this attack reminds me of a barnyard scene I once witnessed. A weasel had gotten into the chicken coop and had latched onto one of the chickens. All the other chickens scuttled off to a safe perch. The farmer calmly took the wounded chicken in stride by finishing the job and cooking it for dinner.
When some other web site is attacked, I'm just a feather on one of those chickens staying away from those weasels. Now I'm one of those feathers thrashing around on the barnyard ground hoping that collectively we don't get plucked from a deceased CCSP. That makes this deficiency a very personal thing.
