Hi there. I was recently hijacked. Nothing seems to fix the problem. I have updated and scanned with Adaware, Spybot, and my antivirus. Nothing comes up yet (I guess it's a new issue).
Removing the obvious malware via Hijack This doesn't work. everything regererates as soon as soon as it is deleted. Do you see anything spurious from this scan log? Or, is there a good way to get way of this awful thing?

Thankd for your reply. Unfortunately, the little bugger is craftly. Those ten items keep reappearing as soon as I "fix" them in Hijack this. Is there perhaps some other file causing them to regenerate? |

Get Ad-aware 6 and run a scan. That ahould rid the process that causes the hijack and the files. Once you run Ad-aware nd get id of the files run Hijack This again and check those items. Also you may want to configure your firewall to block these attempts. |

Running Adaware does nothing. They probably do not yet have a fix on this. |

I've been infected with this pest twice in two weeks.
Go to my computer, you may find a directory labelled "spad".
Note in your browser, the homepage has probably been set to C:/start/spad.html.
I deleted the folder, ran hijack this, and the problem was finally solved. Worked for me twice, maybe others have some comments.
Adaware and Spybot were no help in this matter. |

Download and run http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe
from its own folder.
