Recently joined member I do hope that this is the right forum.

I am running XP and Internet Explorer and have a problem when I am trying to dial up to the Internet.

The password in my dial up connection panel keeps changing to sixteen digits which is not being done by me and I don't know what it is. When I delete this and insert my own six digit password, I am able to connect.
However, when I log off and try to log on again later, I find that the sixteen digit password is back and again has to be deleted before I can again logon.
I don't appear to be able to save my own password.

I have Norton anti virus installed and kept up to date which finds no virus's and I have also run Tauscan 1.7 which again finds no infections.

Can anyone please suggest what the problem is and the solution.

Many thanks in advance.
