paul,
take a look at some thing from this spot.

then go to the second to last post,
and take the link to tomshardware,
from there go to the right resource blocks and look for seagate harddrives.
what happens from the link taken from ccsp to the toms site is that the signal flow is going through your hardware and it is real slow.
but if you open a new window/browser you go FAST.
