RTO Validator Certification Program

The RTO standards and the NVR act are very clear about the need for RTOs to use valid assessment tools and validate assessment outcomes. Regulatory focus on validation activities have increased dramatically over the last few years and far too many RTOs are failing audit due to validation practices and processes. state funding Bodies are also clamping down on RTOs that do not have valid and compliant assessment tools and practices.

Conducting valid and compliant validations is a very specialised skill and despite popular belief, completing a TAE qualification does not necessarily result in the skills and expertise required to conduct valid and compliant validations.

Although RTOs regularly ask Trainers and Assessors to conduct validation, it is essential that all validation team members are equipped with the knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure validation outcomes are reliable.

The RTO Validator Certification Program is offered by AICP, the only RTO in Australia that specializes solely on RTO compliance training. responding to industry demands, AICP has developed the RTO Validator Certification Program for RTO practitioners who want the recognition of their professional validation knowledge, skills and expertise.

During the RTO Validator Certification Program you will learn how to:

• prepare and complete validation records and documents
• develop compliant validation and corrective action plans
• identify validation requirements and potential problem areas
• identify compliance gaps in assessment resources and outcomes

You will also conduct/participate in validations in a face-to-face workshop.
At the end of the RTO Validator Certification Program, you will have gained an in-depth understanding of:

• the full meaning of the clauses in the standards for RTOs
• how the various clauses in the standards for RTOs are interlinked
• how each clause within the standards for RTOs is interpreted for ongoing compliance
• identifying the compliance requirements of each clause in the standards for RTOs
• conducting validations of assessment resources and outcomes.

From the RTO Validator Certification Program, you will also take away models and tools that can be easily adapted to your work environment.

Your learning journey includes a combination of online learning activities, on-the-job assessments, and a 2-day face-to-face workshop presented by Sanction Rectification Specialist, Forensic Auditor, and Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) Specialist, Alex Schroder.
