spam: Two thirds of emails now spam: official |
|
|
scupper writes "The UK Register reported today that MessageLabs, a spam filtering company, has released it's April 2004 world spam traffic stats revealing more than two thirds (67.6 per cent) of the 840 million emails scanned were identified as spam.
Ranked in first place is the USA with 83 per cent of total traffic identified as spam, 52 per cent in the UK, 41 per cent in Germany, 32 per cent in Australia, 30 per cent in The Netherlands and 27 per cent in Hong Kong.
Also mentioned in the article is a study released by another spam filtering company, Clearswift, which reports that porn spam is falling to only 22 per cent of it's scanned spam and that the king of spam is pharmacutical/health care spam.
I wonder how much of the drug spam is male enhancement based?"
