I have a question about a minor annoyance. My OS is XP Home.
In customizing the taskbar systray icons I elect to "always hide" the b9 icon because I never use it. Upon rebooting, b9, or someone, always changes the setting to "hide when inactive". Does anyone know how to make it behave itself or maybe even get rid of the systray icon altogether. I can get to it thru the Start Menu if I want it.

If it's in use it, must be in the system tray (or maximized on the desktop). Dunno how to hide it, that must be an XP thing....

Dunno about it being XP. B9 is the only program that changes the "always hide" setting back to "hide when inactive". I have several programs running in the background with no icon in systray or in the taskbar. A lot of them even offer the option of not having an icon in either place.
I can live with it but just don't like any program that overrides my private settings.
Thanks. |

Where do you change "always hide" / "hide when inactive" settings?

Right click on taskbar, then click on properties and then on customize. This is on XP Home using the Classic Start Menu option. |
