|
|
I installed B9 yesterday. Since then all mail which passes through B9 haa had the sent time adjusted one hour earlier. Mailwasher shows the correct sent time. Selecting the switch to 'set the header date/time' on or off makes no difference.
Daylight time is not in effect until Sunday - hence it is not the cause. I did read such a discussion from Jan. on this board.
Since it is affecting my replies of my business mail (sent time is how we refer to each mail), I will de-activate B9 (not un-install) until a solution is found.
How close are we to a solution?
My system is WinXP Pro using the Canadian regional settings.

Hi
We are aware of a problem that affects some of the correct insertion of daylight savings adjusted times on some systems. The problem turns out to be with a third party component used by Benign. We are planning to re-write our own methods to handle the daylight savings time zones properly. Unfortunately this isn't an easy fix, so it will take some time to create and test before it can be released.
I will keep you informed of the progress on this and let you know when we have a fixed version. I apologise for any inconvenience the altered time may cause in the meantime. We will have this fixed as soon as possible!
Regards
Hamish

I appreciate the reply.
I have only one question left on this topic. DST does not start here until this coming Sunday - ie it is not in effect as yet. Hence is the problem only when we are not on DST? I am guessing that because I have the DST tick on in the time setting, it assumes that I am on DST currently. I'll report back next week when DST is in effect.
