TMOV, it is a certainty that "civil unrest" in this case will lead to civil war of a kind. This is what happens when you have the great "melting pot"

There's a person nearby who -USED- to be a friend.... until we realized this individual made a living sueing others for the smallest things ("Oh, you scratched my furniture... I'm filing a suit for damages!") Yes, that bad.... we were never sued, but lots of people have been. And to make this even worse, the individual brags about the getting the Govt to pay good money as compensation for "disability".... a disability, I will say, which is mostly hype (claims nerve damage from too much office work... not the usual wrist stuff, but neck and shoulder nerve damage, which could be corrected with surgery or alternative treatment). Oh, and when the money gets tight, the individual will take a job just long enough to get unemployment, and then quit.

And here I am, having survived a 60mph head-on car crash and having moderate nerve damage to the spinal cord (almost no feeling on the right side), but I didn't sue the person who hit me (it wouldn't make the damage any less, now would it?), and I don't draw a dime in compensation from anyone or any agency. In fact, I... *gasp*.... actually WORK for a living! *lol* Ok, I work for the Govt, but it isn't a handout by any measure (Chief Engineer, Information Technology advisor for Installations & Logistics).

I guess my point is... people who want to abuse the system, WILL. And it makes everyone else look bad.... but until there is a way to make the systems, and PEOPLE, accountable.... this stuff will only get worse.

And to make it even worse Karay, we vote the people in power that allow it to happen. It is known here as the American Disease, sort of dont sneeze or someone will sue claiming you gave them a cold.
I see folk tripping up on the Pavements through not looking where they are going then going to their cars or home to get a camera to photograph what they have tripped over. It has come to the sorry state that we have to protect people from themselves.
The MacDonalds case is typical of what is coming "Please ensure that this drink has cooled before tipping into groin area"
Can you imagine on the food packaging "This portion of food may cause you to go to the toilet in time, if eaten with other products".
Yep, the US has a lot to answer for!!! Wink

*lol* I forgot about the sidewalk thing.... We have an elderly lady in our neighborhood who actually shuffles her feet as she walks, and writes down every place she finds resistance in the sidewalks... she then files complaints with the city, and the property owner is ordered to fix it or pay the city to do it.

We are having more trouble with asylum seekers at the moment, while we are supporting them with our benefits they will keep coming.
No wonder there was a queue at the Emigration office on Saturday, 2000 folk applying, all tradesman, soon we will have no-one left to earn the money to pay the benefits to give to the genuine cases, they will all be in Aussie land Shocked
