|
|
Hello I thought I would post the message I got on test email this morning. Last night everything was OK, but not this morning, I had to "fiddle about" to get it going. After several test emails from MS Outlook this appeared;
Quote: |
This is an e-mail message sent automatically by Microsoft Outlook's Account Manager while testing the settings for your POP3 account.
The setting for logging on to the incoming mail server before sending mail has been turned on for this e-mail account. Outlook has determined that this was needed in order to access your e-mail. To view or change this setting:
- Select the 'E-mail Accounts' command from the Tools menu.
- Select 'View or Change E-mail Accounts' and click the 'Next' button.
- Select your e-mail account in the list and click the 'Change' button.
- Click 'More Settings' and select the Outgoing Server tab. The setting is controlled by the check box 'Logon to the incoming server before sending mail'. |
So if that would help someone else then this is worth while.

Still having the same problem/s. It goes OK for a while then stops. Last night (Fri) it went OK. This morning it wouldn't start, I decided to leave it for a while to see if it would start itself. No. After a while I opened it again to see if I could spot anything obvious, I don't know if I done anything to it or not but suddenly a pile of mail came down. Now after dinner it has stopped again, I opened "email accounts" and removed the b9, and another flood of mail. It is very erratic and unreliable and that is a great pity because I love it and the work it does. But we can't go on like this all the time.
Is there a fix for this, I would appreciate a reply from Benign or someone very experianced in handling Benign.

I'm sorry but the IMG is coming out much smaller than the upload.

Looks like I have been talking to myself to-day
Anyway Benign has started working again and the fact that it works correctly sometimes shows that it is correctly installed.

Suggestion: Let folks post their problems here and respond to them here. This is the B9 Troubleshooting forum isn't it? I'm sure that everone else would benefit from the exchange.

I disagree, the intention is that this is a user supported forum, so when requiring technical support it's better it goes through our officially supported channels, once the problem is identified though there is no reason the answer cannot be posted |

OK fair enough. It's not the same MO as you use but having the solution posted would be good.
