I am trying to take advantage of the e-mail virus scan service (see: http://computercops.biz/article770.html ). Sorry if I am being dense, but how do I add the address to my address book? If I click the link, it prompts to save a .vcf file. Where should I save it? I think I have an e-mail problem and am hoping to fix it.

Thanks,
David

PS: I use OutlookExpress for e-mail.

Just save it to a temp file or something. When you open it you will see "Add to Address Book" in the top right corner. Click that and it will be saved to your address book. I have attached a picture for reference. Double check your address book to insure it is there. It should be the very first entry: !Alert Me

When I double click the file, it prompts for which program to use. How should I respond?

Thanks,
David

If that is causing issues, you can simply add "[email protected]" into your address book as an alternative.

Paul,
I'll do that. Thanks. And in the meantime, I figured out (1) that AVG was not scanning my mail; and (2) how to get it to do so. So I think I'm pretty well covered now.
