I have an ebedded search that I cannot figure out how to get rid of:

It shows up intermittently about every half-hour or so and forces me to reboot. |

Exactly the same thing is residing on my machine. Norton AV Corporate doesn't find it, nor does AdAware.
I don't have to reboot though. I'm running WinXP.
I also get this annoying pop-up advert at about 30 minute intervals advising me to clean my computer. It's made to look like a blue screen of death. |

Hi Irenah,
Well nobody answered me to help me with any solution. But I finally got rid of that annoying hijacker, looking for solutions in the forums.
I tried different things, I can not tell you which exactly was the one that really helped me, but the intruder has been killed and everything went back to normality.
Ad-Aware 6.0, that is a powerful tool.
HighjackThis, which will show you what threats your computer and you can choose a deleting action.
CWSShredder.
Now, I am clean again...
