I'm having a problem with TH (3.82.796). It will not startup even though
it's configured 6 ways to Sunday to do so. It works fine after manually starting it but it will not startup! I believe this is really a MS problem because I have another small program with the same problem but I thought I would pose the problem here to see if anyone has encountered this or has any insight into the problem. Thanks.

What program is not starting? TrojanHunter Scanner? The Guard? Also, I'm not sure what you mean when you say that it starts fine when you start it manually?

I have TH scanner configured to load on startup but it doesn't. It's not listed in processes running at that point nor is the taskbar icon there. If I start it manually by clicking it in programs/TrojanHunter/TH scanner it starts and work's fine. I do have another program (Winroll) that is doing the same thing i.e. not starting up so that makes me think that it is a MS problem. I have installed other programs before, in-between and after those programs and have not experienced the same problem. Weird. ????

There is no option in TrojanHunter Scanner to load it automatically on startup. Are you sure you don't mean TrojanHunter Guard? If so, this may be caused by having a "registry protector" or similar software installed. Also, if you are logged in using an account with limited privileges the setting may not "stick". Try setting the option using an Administrator account.

I'm also having the same problem on my XP computer. SOMETIMES the Guard will load and other times I have to click on it manually - This just started to occur with the new version.

Similar problem here. SOMETIMES TH Guard does not load automatically so needs to be started manually.

Not a big problem, just means I have to check each time that it has loaded. Not sure if it ever happened under the previous version.

This can be due to having the setting in XP to hide inactive tray icons. There is also a bug in Windows XP that sometimes causes tray icons to disappear even though they should be visible. You can check the Task Manager process list for a process named THGuard.exe - if it's there the guard is running.
