Antivir Personal Edition has been updated. Update using the Internet Updater included in the program or download it from Antivir Personal Edition Homepage.

One of the reasons I like AVPE so much is that besides excellent coverage of worms and viruses, it also provides superb protection from trojans and dialers. It is not common for an AV app to have such strong antitrojan capablities. Thumbs Up

I've been using AVPE for over two years. I have had no false positives and it has always been of the highest quality. It also does not impact my computer's resources very much. I am thinking of getting the Pro version soon. It's worth it! Very Happy

Today's update <June 24, 2004> is:
(Files in bold have been updated.)

Program: 6.25.00.03
Scan Engine: 6.25.00.62
VDF: 6.26.00.06
AVRep.dll: 6.25.00.11

To get the latest Virus Definitions Lists go to: http://centralcommand.com/updates.html

Note that Vexira is the United States subsidiary of H+BEDV Datentechnik GMBH, the creators of Antivir Personal Edition.

Howdy Prince,

I would suggest that you list the info to the update so:

Programm: 6.24.00.10
Engine: 6.25.0.2
VDF: 6.25.0.35
AVRep.dll 6.25.00.05

or at least what has been updated - VDF or .dll etc and then the version. Some people with slow modems break off the download when it takes a little longer than normal and the time factor can be because of a complete new program update.

As you probably know, there can be several VDF updates on any one day and the VDF file is around 1,6 Meg. When a complete new program download is available it is much bigger, around 4 Meg. Also after a complete update people should check for new VDFs as the complete package can have an older VDF in it because the VDF has been updated in the mean time.

Just for info, as you see in my sig, I use AVPE. German on 3 machines and english is going onto my 2000 pro so that I don't have to try to remember the translations all the time! Very Happy

Will there soon be a seperate Forum for AVPE?
