Iam having trouble using b9 with poco mail.
i am using two accounts with two different isp's.
with 1 i get socket error #11004, the other one works fine.

The hosts file is ok, i checked it.
i did use pop.xs4all.nl.b9 (this one gives the problem)
and mail.chello.nl.b9 (this on e works fine)

any1 know what to do about it?

When you say your host file looks fine, does it appear as, or similar to, the following?
Code:
# Begin B9
127.98.9.2                        pop.xs4all.nl.b9
127.98.9.3                        mail.chello.nl.b9
# End B9

There is just 1 answer to ur question.

Yes it does look that way.

When i remove the .b9 from pop.xs4all.nl it works fine.

i even took an another DNS server but it still does not work.

Could the problem be the fact there is no login name and account password configured within d9. I mean i am trying to get mail from my second isp (xs4all) over the network of the first isp (chello).

No that isn't the problem. Since you can access the client when bypassing the B9 proxy, you can still get mail from your xs4all account via chello. Poco initiates the actual request to the server so B9 just passes it on and passes back the server challenge and when poco responds with the uname and password, that's just passed on to the server. B9 does allow you to configure the port used by each account via Options > Accounts tab. Are both servers are listed there?

The B9 FAQ doesn't mention any socket error issues... but, and I'm only speculating here ... I don't suppose there are any non-alpanumeric characters in your uname and/or password that are possibly confusing B9?

Yes there are non-alpanumeric characters in my password. But i use the same password in pegasus mail and there is no problem.

Maybe poco mail handles the non-alpanumeric characters in a different way than pegasus mail does.

i can try to change my password, (its an old one anyway).

ill let u know if this works
i just changed my password, but still got socket error, so the password is not the problem.

Oh and yes both servers are shown in b9.
