Actually villarule,

I'm not quite sure. I run Pro being a
volunteer for Team Z, but this is the
first I've heard of anyone experiencing
probs such as yours.

When you do upgrade, do you perform
a "clean install"? or just upgrade?

It is recommended that when you upgrade
that you do a clean install of Zone Alarm
Free/Pro/Plus

Have you been on the Zone Alarm Forums?
Perhaps there are some answers there or within
the FAQS.

Warm Regards,
esacnitsuj

Yes,
Zone Alarm Free is quite good in "Stealth" mode,
but there are so many more great features
in Zone Alarm Pro such as:

>You can password protect it [ZAPro] from others
opening Zone Alarm Pro/Plus

>Cookie Blocking

>Mobile Code Control (e.g. disabling Scripts, etc.)

>Ad Blocking (Banner, Pop-Up/Under, etc.)

>Mail Safe in ZAPro has protection against 46
different attachments

>There is also Web Filtering (great if you have kids
and you want to block them from accessing certain sites)

>The Vault (where you can securely store info
such as Credit Card numbers, passwords, etc.)

>The latest upgrade has a feature where you
can scan for "Tracking" cookies (cookies which
track your surfing habits)
What it does is takes you to Zone Labs & you
can scan as many times as you want for
Tracking Cookies.

As for a "Clean Install", when you search for or
Zone Labs tells you there is a upgrade, you
should see a dialogue box that asks if you just
want to Upgrade or perform a Clean Install.

Performing a "Clean" install is recommended for
a trouble free install of your upgrade.

I hope this helps and gives you a bit more info
on the value & security of Zone Alarm Pro/Plus?

Warm Regards,
esacnitsuj

Try going right to ZoneLabs home page and downloading the new file from there. Some peple have been having problems with the automatic download of the update. It could be the servers are busy.

An important Security update is avaliable(Version 4.5.594.000). Do you want to get the update now?

I click yes and nothing happens

Should i un-install it and download it again?
