Just did a fresh install of Windows XP. Problem is that now I can't get Proxo to work. It starts loading a page and then "page cannot be displayed" appears. Tried Webwasher which automatically configures itself and the same thing happens so I know it has something to do with XP! Help!

Hello gonzo90017,

Are you connected to your ISP?

Are you able to connect to a web site if Proxo/Webwasher is bypassed?

What browser are you using? What happens when you use a different browser?

What firewall are you using? Is the firewall configured to allow internet access by your browsers/Proxo/Webwasher? Smile

I am connected to my ISP. As soon as I unchech use proxy server and reload a page I can see the page. Even in bypass mode pages still won't display. I'm not using a firewall that I know of. And for now just IE.

Hello gonzo90017,

Check your settings:

Open IE

Click on "Tools" > "Internet Options" > "Connections" > "Settings"

Place a check before "Use a Proxy Server for This Connection"

Click "Advanced"

Next to "HTTP", type "localhost" under "Proxy Address to Use" and type "8080" under "Port"

Click "OK" and "OK" and "OK" Smile

Hello

I'm having the same problem.

I also made a fresh install of Windows XP and I'm unable to get proxomitron working. I noticed every time you try to download a file appears a message stating the connection was reestablished with the server and MSN Messenger loses its connection too.

Tried to uncheck some filters with no success and if I surf the web w/o proxomitron it works fine. Confused
