ok had major probs with my system starting with this error
run time error!
programs: C:\program files\common files\symantec shared\ccEvtmgr.exe
which was killing my Norton! tried to reinstall Norton but with no luck
then the pc started switching it's self off & sometimes i would get this error
isass.exe
then i knew i must have a virus
went to Symantec web site & down loaded a virus checker STINGER
ran stinger & it found 2 deleted them
then i manually installed a live update on Norton ran a virus scan & found both viruses again! w32.gaobot AFS
it deleted 1 of them but couldn't delete the other (quarantined)
did all the instructions on how to remove this virus from SYMANTEC BUT when i was in the reg edit there was none of the files there that said i was to delete
then i ran stinger again it came back clean done Norton again to & it was clean as well so i then put in the Microsoft xp blocker
now everything seems to be ok apart from my Norton wont live update!
tried uninstalling & reinstalling Norton but still wont live update
anyone got any ideas what is still wrong with my Norton?
p.s i am sure i got this from a chain email what was suppose to be a joke
which i dont find this funny at all!!! |
