Hello kizzylips, I know the top 4 are required for ZoneAlarm. I once deleted them but had to restore for ZA to work properly again.
You say the second lot are in Zone Alarm file, I had a quick look but was unable to find them. I will take a look later on. Wink

The ones with the logs are just the archive copies of the logs. If you have the free version of ZA, then you are stuck with it happening every day. If you have the plus or pro version then you can change it so it only does it once upto every 60 days.

As for what is in the zone's tab, how many network interface cards do you have installed in your system? How many modems? They look like the standard entry for a network device. Just to make sure there are three lines correct? if that is it then there needs to be three kinds of network connections on your computer. If there isn't try going to a different page and then back to the zone page and see if all three are stil listed.

hi again , Wandrinstar and Hoov, thankyou for taking the time to look at my post Smile
Hoov .. im new to learning about computers-- where would i find out in my system how many interface cards i have ? i have broadband , 1 modem which is a USB ADLS modem , the three lines are correct and are still listed . i have AVG and a lot of spyware programes (spy-bot S&D ,AD-WARE, spyware blaster , and a few other recommendations on my computer so i guess if anything wasnt right , these programes would have picked it up ?? so hopefully i dont have anything to worry about , but i did want to ask as it had been bugging me .

Thanks once again .
