Hello stoneisland72,
You have one anti-virus (AV) program telling you that you are infected, the other says you are clean. That is not particularly unusual.
AV programs identify a virus by looking for a specific virus signature. Since new viruses are being created daily, AV programs must be constantly updated with new virus signatures.
You need to make sure that your eTrust AV program is updated frequently:

You should take care of the infected file ASAP. Repeat the RAV scan, making sure that you have selected the "Autoclean" option. |

When you clean the virus out make sure you temporarily turn off SYSTEM RESTORE in Win XP as the infected file my be in this read only directory.
You can learn how to do this at:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.as...%5D;310405
After you have cleaned everything out don't forget to turn System Restore back on.
Good Luck, ZapperJohn |
