I got the amazingautosearch.com hijack and it allowed in a world of other problems. I used hijackthis and I killed off something with norton because after that I can't visit any secure websites.

I have completely uninstalled Norton using the Remove utility but still can't visit secure websites.

Where is this being blocked at it has something to do with Norton that I haven't removed or need to replace.

I think you've posted in the wrong forum for this one. Contact one of the mods and see if you can't get this moved over into the appropriate Spyware forum (I'm not sure what that might be, so I'm not making any suggestions).
