Hey shamash, you offensive little nitpicker,
I really did not mean to start a war, but I particularly liked the disertation on the trials of research. Thanks for bringing that one on. I never would have guessed that it was sooooo hard.
Really though, it may not be good for us to rile Sicprefix up too much. Something like that can not be good for the blood pressure. If Sic stroked on us, we would not have anyone to belittle and bemean us. We might start thinking that we are real people, with educations and ideas and such. That would be a shame so take it easy. OK?
(I kind of like that "offensive little nitpicker" line. I think I hold on to that one and see if I can use it to attack someone. And some people think that forums are a waste of time. You know that free exchange of ideas and cultures. The insults....) |

As Chickengirl so kindly reminded me in another thread, the sort of comments I made in the last post are uncalled for. I offer my apologies to Sicprefix for my snide comments and to Shamash for intruding.
In the future, I will try to contain my remarks and keep to the topic.
Thank you. |

Aw Zippy...I understand what you are saying...but I have to admit, that I had a good laugh when I read your opening statement to Shamash (about the offensive little nit-picker) ...and I am sure that a little "tongue-in-cheek" humor is appreciated by those of us that are a little weary of being slammed. Please don't feel bad, for what I said in the other thread, because I was sorta teasing you... |

If there's a god in heaven, I don't think you folks want to be getting on shamash's bad side. For shamash dwells in the underworld by night.
And when it comes to offspring o' gods, old shamash is no slouch either. The fruit of his loins include Kittu, who represents justice, and Misharu, who is law. Beware, mere mortals.
From the Great Hymn to Shamash..."They confront you, Shamash, and you hear all."

First i'd like to say, i don't take offense to any of your comments Zippy. And anyone is more than welcome to jump in any thread i'm posting in at any time they like, so feel free to do so.
Ekrubtap is correct. Mortals beware for i am the God of thunder! With bolts of lightning shall i cast ye mortals to the four winds. The unjust shall have no mercy! From the clouds shall you hear my thunder. Mortals shall tremble at the very sound of my name. From upon mt. Olympus i shall... Hey wait a minute, that's the Greek guy with the beard! Oops sometimes i get my Gods mixed up. But thanks for the laugh Ekrubtap. |

Hello Again
I am a spiritual person full of love, kindness, compassion, but
I do not believe in any one religion.
I also do not disagree nor knock anyone regarding the religion they choose nor the life they choose to live!
As for the Bible, particularly the Old Testament were actually Laws written by elders for certain Jewish tribes, e.g.
Leviticus was written by elders for the Levite tribe who at the time were slaves for the Pharoahs.
Just as we have laws written by our Justice System today!
There are many contradictions from version to version of the Bible.
King James did not believe in reincarnation, so all passages of reincarnation from previous versions of The Holy Bible were
omitted from the King James version.
IMHO...If you lead a good life with love & compassion for your fellow man, then you will receive love & compassion, but if you allow evil into your life, then you too will start to do evil deeds.
I know as I have let people into my life who were liars, thieves, etc. and I followed in their steps until I decided they were no longer part of my life anymore.
That is why I decide to live a life of honesty, love, compassion, etc and only allow people of the same ilk to be involved in my life.
Warm Regards,
esacnitsuj

Hi Esacnitsuj
You sound like your on on a good path. I like some of your ideas.
In reference to your statement about reincarnation being stricken from the KJV of the Bible, i think they missed this one-(John 3:3). Although i know certain Christians would disagree.
Your point about only allowing Honest, loving, & compassionate people into your life is understandable. But Christ taught to love all, and to ignore a certain group of individuals based on your perceived understanding of them is counterproductive IMO. |

Sounds like you are practicing:
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
and shamash is right that we be not afraid of rubbing elbows with anyone...but that doesn't mean that you have "hang" with them...
1Corinthians Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners...or as I like to say: Sleep with dogs, you get fleas.

I really got a kick out of that, Shamash. I decided to use it for my aviatar. I have used Zippy on just about all of the computer and console game that I have played with my kids. The Zingo parts came about because so many people online use Zippy. Thanks for the laugh.
Is it OK to use him for my Aviatar? If now I will take him down. |

The decision is entirely yours if you wish to use the picture 'regularly' for your personal avatar. But realise that it may be a copyrighted image and containing the name and picture of a comic strip character you could have a problem. It would also have to be resized to fit this forum. No more than 65 x 65 pixels (i think) for an avatar. Good luck. |

Sorry...Ooops!
I made one mistake in my post.
Re: Leviticus Law
The Levites were not slaves of the Pharoahs at
that time. I missed Exodus, which is just after
Genesis, when the Levites were freed as slaves.
