Hi

I wonder if you guys can help.

I have followed you advice and used Spybot / Ad aware / CW shredder all checking for updates.

I have also checked for windows xp pro updates.

I did an online scan with panda virus check (which found stuff Norton 2003 didn’t.)

I use Norton internet security and Norton antivirus and update weekly, but some how a have a problem.

MY PROBLEM:

When I am using the internet, I see a searching magnifying glass in the bottom right near the clock then instantly my internet security is disabled and my auto protect is turned off. I can’t then turn it back on until I reboot?

What is happening and how do I fix this?

If its a virus or something how did it get on there if I am protected with Norton?

Robin

If you try to manually turn autoprotect back in through your control panel, do you get an error message with numbers in the lower left hand corner, that start with 404, or something similar, and it has a link to Symantecs' (NOT) helpful website for troubleshooting?

I uninstalled both program then reinstalled both. internet security first (the oldest program) then norton system works.

I opened all the progs and selected live update. And now they all work.

The problem was that one of the live updates wasnt being installed or something
