This is for Windows XP. It happened after I ran Adware 6.0. I then installed Hijack this and here is my log. Please help:

s2g, I'm still learning about HJT logs, but the following should sort out the error message you are getting.

Open notepad, and copy the information in this box:
REGEDIT4 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "RunDLL"=-
Then, save as bridge-repair.reg (make sure you change the Save As Type from .txt to All Files), and then right-click that .reg file and choose Merge. Tell it yes to merge it in, and then you should be all set.

I have the same problem, and I tried what you said. It didn't work... I am still getting the error message on start-up. Any other ideas? (I don't have HJT... I honestly don't even know what it is. Neutral

I have the same problem and I'm also missing another .dll file that doesn't alow me to get internet acces. I'm doing this from another computer. Mad

When I did what you said to do I got this msg Error cannot import C:\docume the specified file is not a redistry script. You can only import binary registry from within the restry editor

Download: HiJack This!

Create and Unzip to a folder not your Desktop or the Temp folder, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and press "Scan".
Unzip the download (using a piece of software like: Winzip)

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log in a text file, and post it in the CCSP "Spyware - Hijack Related" forum:

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

I cant post hijak this log because mit's on mmy laptop with ointernet accsess because of the.dlll thing is messed up. I ALSO CAN'T BUREN IT TO CD IT'S NOT WORKING. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. Crying or Very sad

Download HijackThis to your friends PC and save it to Floppy disk. Run that on your PC, copy and paste the log file generated to Notepad, save that to floppy. Then, load that to your friends PC and submit your log following the instructions given previously.
