YES ZONE ALARM IS A GOOD THING TO HAVE.
MY ZONE ALARM COPY JUST LOCKED MY INTERNET CONNECTION, IT TOLD ME THAT MY MICROSOFT OUTLOOK WAS TRYING TO ACCESS THE INTERNET.
WHEN I CAME BACK INTO THE ROOM I HAD THIS ALERT.
THAT IT HAD TRIED TO ANSWER A REQUEST OR SOME SUCH SYNTAX.
AND SOMETHING HAD ALREADY STARTED ANOTHER WINDOW TO RESPOND.
HOW STRANGE.
WADDA YOU THINK?
MAYBE IT WAS TRYING TO GET MY CONTACTS FILES.

zone alarm is good when it doesnt filter out aol as your internet connection! but then its aol.. who could blame it?  |

apparently it was the isps' own mail server asking for ident on port 113.
that's what the isp says anyway.
still, zone alarm is a good thing.
i still dont know why it would have opened a window in the task bar. |

yeah it had and i was taking a break and the thing was popped up while i was out of the room.
so the answer from the isp is a bit generic. |
