Welcome, if you have not registered, please do it now. We need a snapshot of your running processes..........but First:
Virus=Read This: http://www.computercops.biz/postt8864.html
HiJack= Read This: http://www.computercops.biz/postt911.html

Download : HiJack This! from http://computercops.biz/downloads-cat-14.html

Create and Unzip to a folder not your Desktop or the Temp folder, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".
Unzip the download (using a piece of software like: Winzip)

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log in a text file, and post it in the CCSP "Spyware - Hijack This" forum:

http://computercops.biz/forum67.html

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

Go to the downloads page, download and run cwshredder (in fix mode) and then post a HijackThis log.

You will have to go to another computer and download cwshredder and transfer it to the infected computer.

Reply with quote

Greetings,
I'm having a problem with my system (Windows 98 PC, using IE 6.0), that relates to a previous discussion on this list. I've been having difficulty browsing with IE, with certain sites first being redirected to two pages:
searchpage.cc
search.msn.com/dnserror (n.b.: sought after URL often appears in search list)

But after removing 3 spyware objects using Spybot and several pieces of adware using Adaware, the problem is that selected sites are simply not found. For example I've repeated tried to go to www.adobe.com, which formally was redirected but now just times out.

Based on the previous discussion I've used hijackThis, which output the attached logfile. I've be very happy to know which of the found files need to be fixed.

Best wishes,
-Aldo

I tried all of the suggestions including cwshredder and hijack this. I removed the suggested bad entities but still had the problem.

I then ran adaware6 from lavasoft. I turned on the internet lock on my zonealarm firewall during the process.

Adaware6 found 2 programs in addition to what hijack this and cw shredder found.

after 8 hours I now have my browser back. These 3 programs seem to be the cocktail needed to remove this hijacker.

Could someone smart please orchestrate some reverse mojo on their scumbag website for viagra and penis enlargement.
