I use a dial up on Windows XP. Now, when I connect to the internet, my CPU Usage shoots all the way up in the 80-100 % range. When I look at the processes, it is one of the svchost.exe that is doing it. Anyone know what the problem may be?

Thanks.

Just an update, I ran Spybot S&D and it took a bunch off. But when I connect to the internet, it still is 70-80+%. When I ran Spybot again, there was one that keeps showing up that wont delete. It is called DSO Exploit. Anyone know what to try next?

is it saying something like this ?
HKEY_CURRENT_USER,
"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0"
1001 and 1004
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
"Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0"
1001 and 1004

If so then you can just backup your registry first
and then look for the key specified in Spybot S&D
once you find it Change the value of "1004" (DWORD) to 3
