ZA 5 Bugs

Several people are reporting major problems with ZA 5 (free and paid) and I was just wondering if any of our ZA hosts could confirm that ZA is working on these issues. Things ranging from incompatibility with McAfee, Blue Screens at boot after upgrade, and several other oddities.

I have personally upgraded and the only thing I noticed is that my log is not showing blocked "outbound" attempts. ZA does seem to be blocking these "outbound" attempts, but the log is not showing them.

Any heads-up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, figured out the problem. I did not notice that there is a new drop down menu "Alert Type" in the new Log interface. One choice is "Firewall" which shows incoming attempts and the other is "Program" this is where the outbound attempts are now listed. All is good here. Sorry to add confusion to an already confusing situation.

ZA5 has some severe issues causing major headaches for a lot of people.

This upgrade was obviously released prematurely and I would recommend from personal experience to stick with version 4.5 for the time being.

Yep, my problems continued to increase. I eventually uninstalled ZA and am now running Sygate.
