You claimed that you were not saying that I'm stupid. Assuming that isn't a lie, and that something I've said makes no sense to you, wouldn't it stand to reason that I've failed to communicate effectively? And out of curiosity, if you have no interest in what I'm trying to say, why do you even read my posts, let alone reply? What's the payoff?
If you ARE interested in what I'm trying to say, say so. It won't reflect on you, in any way and it won't hurt my feelings. I'm often asked to clarify. No big deal. Discussion of different topics overlap and I often (some would say "always") forget who I'm talking to and where the discussion -- with that particular group (or person) -- stands. |
Please,CC, get off the "stupid" bandwagon. You seem to be somewhat preoccupied with the thought that others might question your intelligence (sic & myself in this case) "Stupid" is a prejudicial term of a similarity to a racial epithet and should never be used. That aside, your posts (I've just reread them in this thread) do indicate intelligence, but as you say, you've "failed to communicate effectively?".
You're posts are rife with hyperbole, making it difficult to get a handle on the underlying meaning, and exude anger and confrontationalism, inviting response in kind.

Would not the fact that I respond indicate an interest? (at the least in responding). Besides, it's the nature of the beast (this forum, not the mythical triple-six entity.) The payoff is stimulation.
