I have reinstalled Windows XP Home and now the windowsupdate.com website does not work, telling me that I need to be an Administrator to use it (I have attached a screen shot of the error). My account is an admin account, but just to check, I ran in Safe Mode w/ Networking and logged on as "Administrator", but it still gives me this error.

I have gone through most of the related things in the Windows Update Troubleshooting on Microsoft's website, but it hasn't helped. Anybody have any ideas for me to try? I'm out of them...

Thanks in advance,
Alex Norris

Nope, unfortunately. Thanks for the reply and sorry I haven't replied, I've been away from home for a couple weeks. Any other ideas?
