What internet sight it about to load at the bottom. I'm talking about, you know how when an ad is loading to pop up. At first it says Microsoft internet or whatever then the title on the task tool bar changes to the name of the ad, like cell phones or something. Well, I have a window that acts like its opening from the internet & then it quickly closes. If I right click move or something then it will stay there but the name will change from Microsoft internet explorer to ~close Microsoft inernet. And it won't let me view it. I have no idea where its coming from & it does it several times while I'm connected. How can I tell where its coming from?? |

Hi, Linlee82,
Try these and see if they help:
Download Ad-aware from here: http://www.computercops.biz/downloads-file-292.html
Install by double-clicking on the downloaded file.
After installing but before running, update Ad-aware by using its Globe icon.
After updating, shutdown and restart Ad-aware.
Ad-aware is ready to scan and clean your system following these steps:
Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Scanning Engine:
"Unload recognized processes during scanning."
Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweaks > Cleaning Engine:
"Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."
Press "Scan Now"
Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
Select the active partition which is usually C:
Press "Next" to let Ad-aware scan your drives...
If it finds "bad" files and registry keys, press "Next" again
Right-click in that pane and choose "select all"
Press "next"
When it asks to remove all checked items, Press "OK"
Close Ad-aware, reboot your system and go on to the next step below.
Download Spybot S&D here: http://www.computercops.biz/downloads-file-108.html
Install by double-clicking on the downloaded file.
Run Spybot S&D from desktop icon or Start menu.
Press "Search for updates" button to get list of updates available.
Press "Download updates" button.
Close all IE windows and close & restart Spybot S&D.
Press "Check for problems" button.
Have SpyBot remove all it marks in RED by pressing "Fix selected problems".
Do an online virus scan at Housecall: http://www.trendmicro.com/en/home/us/enterprise.htm
Or Panda: http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan...ncipal.htm
Let these programs fix what they find. If your problems are not corrected:
Download HijackThis to its own permanent folder. Then you can post a log on the HijackThis forum.
Here’s how:
To create a folder:
Click My Computer, then C:\
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named "New Folder", which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis".
Now you have C:\HJT\ folder.
Download the HijackThis here: http://computercops.biz/modules.php?name=My_Downloads
Put your HijackThis.exe in your permanent folder. (Using this permanent folder will allow HijackThis to keep backup files together in the folder.)
Double click HJT.exe to run it.
Be sure that all other applications (including this window) are closed before you start scanning.
Click on the Scan button. When scanning is finished the "Scan" button turns into a "Log" button.
Save your log to your computer. Then Select All>Copy and post it on here. Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.
Please post your log on the Hijackthis forum where the experts can take a look at it. |
