Somehow my computer seems to have aquired something that turns the homepage of internet to about:blank, which loads some sort of search page, everytime i change it back to yahoo it is automatically changed back next time I open it. It also makes popups from "http://vn.msie.cc/" appear whenever the homepage is loaded, and makes hotmail say that i do not have java working but when i check my tools menu it is and means i can't check my e-mail!

Even with Norton Internet Security it managed to get through

Can anybody help my with this?
Thanks in advance if u can.

f297,

Download and run spybot search and destroy and adaware. You may need to run each of these several times. Hyjackthis is also a good tool BUT do not delete selections unless you are sure.

good luck,

Peter

thanks,
I've used spybot and adaware for the past 2 weeks or so, its got rid of the homepage and pop-up problems.
But now it i seem to have a javascript problem...

hotmail, and other sites, continually say i haven't got javascript enabled but on the tools it says i have, now i cant get to my e-mail!

Any thoughts?
