|
|
My computer has recently been hit by several viruses trojans, which makes me very uncomfortable with the fact that something in my computer is saving everything I enter into form fields. I'm not a computer tech savvy person, so if that doesnt make sense, what I mean is that on a form in any website (like the Adress bar in IE, or subject bar in forums, or the forms I had to fill out to get a user name to this very website) it has saved the things that I have typed in the past, I assume the 'legit' purpose of whatever is causing this is for convienence.
However after having a pretty bad infection of viruses/spyware/adware, im not comfortable having it save any of these anywhere on my computer (it is even saving my credit card number in forms, thats not good!) I cannot however find any clicked option anywhere that would do this, leading me to believe it is some program like Gator.
Any ideas how to disable this? I have been running McAfee Virus scanner, Ad-aware, and SpyBot S&D on a daily basis, and this still continues.
Thanks!

Hi Sedwinson, to disable autocomplete in Internet Explorer click Tools>Internet Options>Content>Autocomplete and adjust autocomplete settings from there.
